Abu Dhabi Open Regatta & Training Camp

The Abu Dhabi Open Regatta is part of the UAE National Championships. It is an open international event that welcomes sailors in four classes; Optimist (under 14y/o) Laser 4.7 (age 12-16), Laser Radial (age 16-up) and Laser Standard (age 18-up).

The Abu Dhabi Open Regatta will include 6 days of sailing with a training camp, a team racing championship for Optimists and fleet racing for all classes as well as an active social program for all participants;

Monday 14 October - Open Training Camp (Optimist, Laser)

Tuesday 15 October - Open Training Camp (Optimist, Laser)

Wednesday 16 October - Open Training Camp (Optimist, Laser)

Thursday 17 October - Team Racing (Optimist) – Open Training Camp (Laser)

Friday 18 October - Fleet Racing (Optimist, Laser)

Saturday 19 October - Fleet Racing (Optimist, Laser)

The training camp will be hosted by a team of international racing coaches and will focus on improving skills, fitness and the latest techniques and tactics. The team racing and fleet racing will be overseen by WS International Race Officers and Judges. As part of the UAE National Championships, the event will include the best regional sailors but will also be open to international teams from around the world.

Charter boats will be available in all classes and the ADSYC can assist with travel arrangements and accommodation in Abu Dhabi. Please contact us for more information and download the Notice of Race below;
